R E F L E C T I O N .
Seeing things/Alternative perspectives project - throughout this project I was able to learn, focus, and improve my practical/technical skills in hand making. My biggest challenge of all was trying to adapt to what materials/equipment have available at home, and learning new techniques as I go that I have not yet learned.
This project thought me the basic techniques of macramé knots and how to make a basic net. Moreover, it was also quite a challenge mentally as a fashion student to keep working and going in this lockdown period. However, this has taught me to be more creative and to work with my limitations, this period has given me the opportunity to engage with new methodologies and techniques and work more individually as a designer.
It is a different experience, but it has allowed me to expand my learning opportunities. Being in lockdown may have limited me, but it has also made me less restrictive to myself as a designer. Rather, this whole process has been more experimental for me and a way for me to expand my methodologies and techniques.
